Rito Name Generator

The Rito are the avian people of Hyrule, introduced in The Wind Waker and reimagined for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, where they live in Rito Village beneath the Hebra peaks. Their names are short and light, usually one or two syllables, and lean on soft consonants and open vowels: Revali, Teba, Saki, Tulin, Amali, Kass, Medli, Komali. Nintendo rarely gives them more than five or six letters, which suits a tribe of archers and singers who value grace and speed.

Two patterns show up again and again. Breath of the Wild names often end in -i, -a or -li (Genli, Mazli, Cecili, Bedoli, Kaneli), while Kass's five daughters follow a playful sound-alike set (Kheel, Notts, Kotts, Cree, Genli). The Wind Waker Rito favour -li and clipped -t endings: Medli, Komali, Koboli, Namali, Obli, Basht, Bisht, Hoskit, Skett. Several also nod to real birds or the wind (Quill, Penn), which is a good seed for your own inventions.

For an original Rito character, keep the name brisk, avoid heavy consonant clusters, and give warriors like Teba and Harth a harder final consonant while singers, elders and children get the softer -i and -a endings.
