Wings of Fire Name Generator

In Tui T. Sutherland's Wings of Fire books, a dragon's name tells you their tribe before you see their scales. Each of the ten tribes draws names from its own corner of the natural world. MudWings are named for swamp life (Clay, Reed, Cattail, Umber); SandWings for the desert (Thorn, Qibli, Jerboa, Sidewinder); SkyWings for birds of prey, fire and red gems (Kestrel, Peril, Carnelian, Vermilion); SeaWings for anything under the water (Tsunami, Anemone, Riptide, Nautilus); IceWings for cold and Arctic animals (Winter, Icicle, Lynx, Permafrost); and RainWings for rainforest plants, animals and vain adjectives (Kinkajou, Mangrove, Glory, Magnificent).

NightWings are the exception: they use invented compound words that sound like a prophecy or a boast, such as Starflight, Clearsight, Deathbringer and Fierceteeth. On the continent of Pantala, HiveWings take insect names (Cricket, Wasp, Vinegaroon), SilkWings take butterflies and moths (Blue, Luna, Swordtail, Fritillary), and LeafWings take plants, often poisonous or carnivorous ones (Sundew, Belladonna, Hemlock, Cobra Lily).

The names below include canon characters and new names that follow the same rules for each tribe, so an OC will sound like they belong in Pyrrhia. If you are writing a hybrid, pick a name from either parent's tribe rather than blending two words; that is how the books handle it.
