Warrior Cats Name Generator

Warriors names, from Erin Hunter's long-running series, are compound words: a birth prefix plus a rank suffix. The prefix is chosen by the parents and usually names something in the forest world (Fire-, Squirrel-, Bramble-, Mist-, Yellow-) or a trait the kit shows at birth. The suffix tracks the cat's rank: -kit for kits, -paw for apprentices, then a permanent warrior suffix given by the leader at the warrior ceremony (-heart, -claw, -fur, -pelt, -tail, -whisker, -leaf, -flight, -storm, -shine and many more), and finally -star if the cat ever becomes leader. Medicine cats follow the same pattern; only rogues, loners and kittypets use single names like Millie, Barley or Scourge.

The best original names feel like something a Clan cat would actually say. Prefixes should be things forest cats know: plants, animals, weather, colors, body features. Suffixes usually echo either the cat's look (Whitewing, Longtail) or a deed (Brightheart, Lionblaze). Fans debate whether names like Nightheart or Sunbeam are too on-the-nose, but the series itself ranges from plain (Mousefur, Dustpelt) to poetic (Silverstream, Feathertail), so there is room for both.
