NightWing Name Generator

Most NightWings carry compound names built from night-sky words (star, moon, night, shadow) or from their powers and deeds (Clearsight, Fatespeaker, Deathbringer, Secretkeeper). Some have trait-plus-body-part names like Fierceteeth or Bigtail, and a few use a single grand word such as Vengeance, Greatness or Obsidian.

The other Pyrrhian tribes name dragonets after a single thing from their environment (Glory, Tsunami, Clay). NightWings built a culture around prophecy, secrets and superiority, so their names tend to announce what a dragon is supposed to be or do. The compound structure is the tribe's signature.

Yes. After the tribe moved into the rainforest at the end of the first arc, dragonets were named for things around them, and Moonwatcher herself is named for the moons she hatched under. Nightbloom, Moonmoth or Owlwatcher all fit a post-volcano NightWing, and hybrids often carry names that split the difference.
