Dragon names have a recognisable grammar. Epithets carry lore: 'the Undying', 'the Hoardkeeper', 'Skyrender' tell you what the dragon has done and how the local peasantry feels about it. Descriptive English compounds such as Frostmaw or Cinderclaw are the names villagers give a dragon, not the name it gives itself, which is a distinction worth using in a story.
