Storm chaser names come in three registers, and a good one is obvious about which it is. Real chasers rarely use stage names, so the nickname should sound like a joke a crew would actually make, not a superhero title.

They borrow the vocabulary of severe-weather forecasting, which is full of vivid phrases: dryline, cap, inflow, outflow, wall cloud, beaver tail, bear's cage, rope stage, wedge, stovepipe, mothership, core punch, moderate risk. Names like Supercell Syndicate, Dryline Drifters or Rear Flank Riders tell other chasers you know the terms, and they alliterate easily, which is why so many real crews do.

Handles for social media compress the same idea into one word or a CamelCase pair (WallCloudWade, MesoMaggie). This list mixes all three registers so you can name a protagonist, her rival crew and the channel they post to. If you are naming something real, check that the handle is free and skip anything that sounds like a government warning.
