Satanic Name Generator

Satanic names draw on a few distinct traditions, and the best ones pick a lane. The oldest layer is scripture and its commentaries: Satan the accuser, Lucifer the fallen morning star, Samael the poison of God, Belial, Beelzebub, Azazel and the Watchers of Enoch, plus Lilith and the night demons of Jewish folklore. Medieval grimoires and Dante added the courtly hierarchy of Hell, where fiends hold titles like Prince, Duke and Marquis and answer to names like Mephistopheles, Astaroth and Lucifuge Rofocale.

The second layer is inversion. Because Satanism in the popular imagination is a mirror of the Church, its names borrow Latin liturgy and turn it inside out: Rex Inferni, Nihil Sanctus, Crux Inversa, Agnus Niger. Black metal took this further with one-word Norwegian and Latin stage names (Nattefrost, Helvete, Infernus Rex) that sound like weather on a frozen battlefield. A third register is the gothic occultist, a full name like Lilith Draven or Lucian Morrow that would pass in a Victorian parlour until you notice the surname.

This list mixes all of them with original demon names (Vorgast, Azraketh, Zhul-Makar) built from hard consonants, sibilants and ancient-sounding endings. Use the canonical names for a patron or antagonist, the Latin for cults and rituals, and the gothic full names for characters and online handles.
