Dictator Name Generator

A dictator's name is really two things: the person and the title they chose for themselves. Real strongmen almost always arrive with a rank (Colonel, Marshal, Generalissimo), convert it into a civilian office (President, Chairman, Premier), and then outgrow both with an honorific such as Father of the Nation, Brother Leader, Guide of the Revolution or Eternal President. The honorific is where the character lives, because nobody else would call a man the Great Gardener unless the alternative was prison.

The names here follow the regional grammars that make a regime feel specific. Latin American caudillos carry double surnames and titles like El Benefactor or Presidente Vitalicio. Eastern Bloc rulers are General Secretaries, First Secretaries and Comrade Chairmen with plain party names. Post-colonial strongmen stack a military rank on a presidency and add Life President when the elections stop. Ancient and Byzantine tyrants use Dictator Perpetuus, Despot and Sebastokrator; dystopian regimes prefer bloodless words like Director, Arbiter, Custodian and Protector that hide what the office does.

Every name here is invented, even the ones that sound like history. Use them for the antagonist in a political thriller, the ruler of a banana republic in a comedy, the faction leader in a strategy game, or a worldbuilding regime whose tone you want set by a single line on a poster.
