Cult Leader Name Generator

Old-Testament revival names paired with a family title (Father Ezekiel, Sister Temperance, Brother Absalom) sell a backwoods compound or a Puritan-flavored sect. Nature and virtue names (Brother River, Sister Solace, Mother Serenity) fit a 1970s commune or a modern wellness retreat. Sanskrit-flavored honorifics (Swami, Bhagwan, Guru) suit imported-guru stories. Bare definite-article titles (The Teacher, The Vessel, The Speaker for the Silence) work when the leader wants to erase their humanity entirely. And the sleek contemporary cult hides in plain sight behind Dr., Coach, Founder or Facilitator.

Match the name to the era, the theology and the recruiting pitch of your fictional group, and give the leader a mundane birth name that followers are forbidden to say; the gap between the two is where the character lives.
