Leonin Name Generator

Leonin are the lion-folk of Magic: The Gathering, and their names change with the plane they come from. On Naya (Alara) the names are warm and vowel-heavy, with soft consonants and a Swahili-like cadence: Ajani Goldmane, his brother Jazal, and Marisi the Coil-Breaker. On Mirrodin the leonin of the Razor Fields use harder, clipped names full of k, sh and r sounds (Raksha Golden Cub, Kemba, Ushanti, Seht) and address their rulers with the title Kha. On Theros, where the leonin of Oreskos live apart from the human poleis, names take a Greek shape, as with King Brimaz, and the D&D supplement Mythic Odysseys of Theros gives example names like Aristos, Perakas, Oniphis and Aenea.

When choosing, pick the plane first. A Theros leonin paladin wants a Greek-sounding name; a Mirrodin warrior wants something with a growl in it; a Naya-style name suits a wandering planeswalker or a character whose background is deliberately vague.
