Follow the pattern real bird names use: one descriptor plus a real family name. Descriptors in real ornithology come from colour, call, habitat, habit or folklore (mourning dove, nightjar, secretarybird), so Emberwing Thrush, Saltmarsh Phantom and Keening Loon all sound plausible. Keep it to two or three words and avoid piling on adjectives.
