Cloud Giant Name Generator

Cloud giants rank second in the ordning, just below storm giants, and they behave like the aristocracy they believe themselves to be: they hoard treasure, dress in silk and gold, and judge one another by wealth and ostentation. Their names in Dungeons & Dragons follow suit. Countess Sansuri and Count Thullen of Lyn Armaal, the wizard Zephyros, Blagothkus of Skyreach Castle, and the explorers Nimbolo and Mulara all have a smooth, Italianate or Latin sound, with soft consonants and -o, -us, -a and -i endings, closer to a Renaissance court than to the Norse-flavored frost giants.

This generator keeps that register. Given names such as Vorastus, Illumara, Caelumir and Nephelia pair with epithets drawn from sky, mist, wind and weather (Cloudcaller, Mistmantle, of the Gilded Cumulus), the sort of self-flattering bynames a cloud giant noble would adopt. Because cloud giants organize themselves into rival houses and titled families, there are noble house names and a sprinkling of counts, duchesses and marquises, plus names for the floating castles they rule from. Good-aligned cloud giants who honor Annam and the evil ones who follow the trickster god Memnor can both be named from the same list; the difference is in how grandly the giant insists you say it.
