Borderlands Name Generator

Borderlands names come in two flavours and both are loud. Vault Hunters get short, punchy first names, often one or two syllables and sometimes stylised with numbers or leetspeak: Roland, Lilith, Brick, Maya, Zer0, FL4K, Moze, Amara. They are usually followed by a class title (the Siren, the Gunzerker, the Beastmaster) or a nickname earned in the field (Lilith the Firehawk). Villains and corporate types get full, slightly ridiculous names that scream 'company man': Handsome Jack, Katagawa Jr., Rhys Strongfork, Mister Torgue High-Five Flexington.

Pandora's bandits, psychos and bosses follow the Wild-West-meets-Mad-Max rule: a physical trait, weapon or bad habit stuck to a folksy first name. Nine-Toes, Bone Head, Sledge, Krom, Mad Mel, Doc Mercy, Boom Bewm, Savage Lee, Motor Momma. Raid bosses add 'the Invincible' (Terramorphous, Hyperius, Vermivorous). Bandit clans (Hodunk, Zaford, Bloodshot, Children of the Vault) supply surnames when a character needs one, and pets and vehicles get names like Bloodwing, Deathtrap and Butt Stallion.

The secret is comedy with a hard edge. Every name should sound like it belongs on a wanted poster or a spray-painted skag skull. This generator combines canon Vault Hunters, NPCs and bosses with new bandit nicknames, corporate suits and beasts built to the same rules.
