Zonai Name Generator

The Zonai are the ancient sky-dwelling race at the heart of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Nintendo gives us only two of their personal names: Rauru, the first king of Hyrule, and his sister Mineru, the Sage of Spirit. Both are soft, three-syllable names built from open Japanese-style vowels and ending in -ru, which is the pattern any original Zonai name should follow. Sonia, Rauru's Hylian queen, has a European sound by contrast, which highlights how deliberately alien the Zonai names are meant to feel.

Beyond personal names, Zonai culture provides a rich set of designations. Constructs are named by function (Steward Construct, Soldier Construct, Flux Construct, Captain Construct), and Zonai places carry names like Zonaite, the Great Sky Island, the Temple of Time, and the Dracozu ruins in Faron. Zonai were also tied to dragons and the Secret Stones, so epithets referencing light, spirit, the sky, and the Depths fit the lore.
