Goblin names are built to be spat, not sung. Across D&D, Warhammer, Tolkien, and folklore the pattern is remarkably consistent: one or two syllables, a hard opening consonant cluster (gr-, sk-, sn-, kr-, zh-), a short vowel, and a clipped ending on k, g, t, or x. Vex, Grukk, Skab, Yark, and Nix all fit; so do the official D&D goblins Klarg, Yeemik, Splug, and Droop, and Warhammer's greenskins Skarsnik, Wurrzag, and Nazbad. The sound is ugly on purpose, and the best goblin names are the ones you can imagine being shouted across a cave.

Goblins in most settings do not have family names, but they collect epithets and job titles fast. A goblin who survives long enough gets a descriptor pinned on by the tribe (Grizzletooth the Unwashed, Snik the Slippery), a boast-name (Toothgnasher, Skullcracker), or a role name (Boss, Chief, Wolf-rider, Boomer). Tolkien's Goblin-town and Warhammer's greenskin bosses lean toward the grand and threatening (Bolg, Azog, Grom the Paunch); Harry Potter's Gringotts goblins take stiff two-syllable names ending in -ok or -uk (Griphook, Ragnok, Bogrod); D&D leans comic and cowardly (Boggle, Meepo, Ninnyhammer).

The list above mixes bare names, name-plus-nickname pairs, epithets, and boss titles so a game master can name a whole warren in one pass. Pick short bare names for the mob and save the titled ones for the boss and the shaman.
