Kobold Name Generator

Kobolds are the small, scrappy, dragon-worshipping reptilians of Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder, and their names sound the way they behave: quick, sharp and a little chaotic. Official 5e examples like Arix, Eks, Galax, Kashak, Meepo, Molo, Ohsoss, Sik, Sniv, Taklak and Urak show the pattern. Names are one or two syllables, packed with k, x, z, s and t sounds, and often end abruptly. Kobolds have no gender-specific names in most settings, and the same name can be shared by a dozen members of a warren without anyone minding.

Because kobolds speak Draconic, longer names borrow dragon-like flourishes (Draxil, Zorvak, Kraxos), while everyday nicknames describe a job or a quirk (Trapmaster, Egg-Warden, Snaggletooth, Quickfoot). Famous kobolds such as Meepo from The Sunless Citadel and Deekin Scalesinger from Neverwinter Nights prove that a short, slightly silly name is perfectly canon. Warrens and tribes name themselves after their dragon patron, their tunnels or their trade: Sunscale Clan, Deepfang Warren, Servants of Ashardalon.
