Mount Name Generator

A mount is the one companion you see on screen more than your own character, so its name gets read thousands of times. Names that hold up tend to fall into a few families. Compound nature words like Stormhoof, Duskrunner and Rimeclaw read as fantasy without needing lore. Single strong words such as Tempest, Onyx, Bastion or Halcyon feel like a proper horse's name and fit on any nameplate. Legendary steeds from myth and history give instant gravitas: Sleipnir, Bucephalus, Bayard, Buraq, Shadowmere, Llamrei. And two-word titles like Pale Rider, Silent Hoof or Velvet Thunder suit a character with a backstory.

Match the name to the animal and the tone of your character. A paladin's armored charger wants Dauntless or Steadfast; a rogue's raptor wants Sickleclaw or Needlefang; a gnome's mechanostrider wants Sprocket or Pistonhoof; a druid's stag wants Hawthorn-style nature names. Drakes and wyverns take harder consonants (Korvath, Rhazik, Zirak) while gryphons and flying mounts lean airy (Skytalon, Highwind, Crestfall). If your guild leans silly, the joke tier exists for a reason: Hoof Hearted, Clop Norris and Loading Screen get laughs at every summoning circle.
