Kuo-Toa Name Generator

Kuo-toa are the fish-headed, half-mad people of D&D's Underdark, once an aboleth slave race, now huddled around underground lakes worshipping gods they invent themselves. Their most famous deity is Blibdoolpoolp, the Sea Mother, and that name is the template for every kuo-toa name since. Official examples from Out of the Abyss and other 5e sources include Ploopploopeen (an archpriest of the village Sloobludop), Bloppblippodd, Klibdoloogut, Glurpglurp and Sloopidoop. They read like a fish trying to talk with its mouth full of water: bl-, gl-, pl-, sl- and d- clusters, long -oo- vowels, and popping -p, -b and -pp consonants.

Most kuo-toa names are built from two to four burbling syllables strung together (Bloop + glib + eeen), often with a repeated element (Glurpglurp, Bloobbloob) and one of a few characteristic endings: -oolp, -oop, -eep, -een, -odd or -ut. Rank matters more than family, so important kuo-toa are known by their role in the community: archpriest, whip (a priest-enforcer), monitor (an unarmed warrior), or by an epithet tied to their duties at the shrine.

All of the names below follow those rules, from short two-syllable cultists to full title-and-name styles for the archpriest of your own drowned village. They also work for any slimy deep-water fish-folk in Pathfinder, Warhammer or homebrew settings.
