Most cultures have a stock of names that carry holiness in their meaning, and those real names are the backbone of this list. Hebrew gives theophoric names built on El and Yah (Eliora, Netanel, Jedidiah, Azriel); Greek gives Theodora, Eusebius and Makarios (blessed); Latin gives Benedict, Sanctus, Fidelis and Pius; Arabic gives Tahir (pure), Mubarak (blessed), Quddus and Nur al-Din; Sanskrit gives Pavitra, Divya and Devdutt; Tibetan Buddhist names like Tenzin, Choden and Yeshe mean holder of the teachings, devout and wisdom.
