Fallout 76 Name Generator

Fallout 76 is set in Appalachia in 2102, only 25 years after the bombs fell, so its names sit closer to the pre-war world than any other Fallout. The Vault 76 dwellers walked out with ordinary mid-century American names, and the survivors they meet are West Virginians: Scots-Irish and English mountain surnames like Hatfield, McCoy, Blankenship, Mullins, Caudill, Sizemore, Adkins and Justice, paired with first names such as Earl, Loretta, Wade, Darlene, Delmer and Opal. Canon NPCs follow the same rule, from Sofia Daguerre and Russell Dorsey to Meg Groberg and the Hornwright family.

The factions add their own layers. The Brotherhood puts rank before name (Paladin Rahmani, Knight Shin, Scribe Valdez), the Responders are known by job (Fire Breather, Medic), and Crater raiders and Blood Eagles use one-word handles like Surge, Blackeye, Ra-Ra and Gash. Robots carry pre-war service names or model tags (MODUS, Miss Nanny, Mr. Gutsy), and wasteland nicknames borrow from junk, chems, cryptids and coal-country life: Mothman, Snallygaster, tipples, moonshine and pepperoni rolls all show up.
