Evil Team Name Generator

An evil team name does two jobs at once: it has to sound dangerous, and it has to work as a team name, which means being short enough to chant, print on a jersey or fit in a lobby nickname field. The formula most names follow is a dark adjective or noun plus a plural creature or role: Rogue Reapers, Iron Jackals, Hex Hounds, Plague Rats. Predators, scavengers, venomous things and undead all carry threat on their own, so one extra word is usually enough; stacking three (Dark Shadow Death Squad) reads as a joke unless that is the intent.

The second style borrows from comics and cartoons, where villain teams are counted or organized: The Sinister Seven, Nine Nails, League of Liars, Brotherhood of Ruin, Syndicate of Spite. These suit fiction, tabletop campaigns and any league where you want to play the heel with some theatre. The third style is deliberately funny evil, which is what most rec-league and trivia teams actually want: Mildly Evil, Evil But Punctual, Henchmen United, Villains Anonymous, Lawful Evil LLC.

Pick the register before you pick the name. A name that is menacing in a horror campaign is just odd on a bowling shirt, and a pun that kills at trivia night undercuts a serious villain faction.
