Raptor Name Generator

"Raptor" covers two very different animals, and the naming traditions differ. Species names double as personal names (Kestrel, Merlin, Peregrine, Goshawk, Harris), Latin genus names like Aquila, Falco, and Accipiter add a scholarly edge, and sky and weather words (Zephyr, Gale, Squall, Aurora) fit anything that hunts on the wing. Mythic hunters like Artemis, Diana, and Orion and Valkyrie or Banshee for a screaming falcon round out the tradition.
