Piltover Name Generator

Piltover, the City of Progress, sits at the top of Runeterra's social ladder, and its names sound like it. Look at the canon cast of League of Legends and Arcane: Jayce Talis, Caitlyn Kiramman, Camille Ferros, Mel Medarda, Corin Reveck, Councilor Salo. Given names are short, mostly European in flavor (English, French, Italian, a little Germanic), and surnames are smooth, two- or three-syllable clan names that double as brands: Kiramman, Giopara, Holloran, Arvino, Cadwalder. Nothing is harsh or guttural; that register belongs to Zaun, where you get Silco, Sevika and Vander instead.

Because Piltover is run by its merchant clans and its Academy, a full Piltovan name often carries a role. Councilors sit on the ruling Council, professors and deans run the Academy, wardens and enforcers keep the peace, and artificers and hexwrights build the hextech that funds it all. A character reads as Piltovan the moment you pair a refined given name with a clan surname and a job: Professor Lenore Cadwalder, Enforcer Tobin Zeller, Artificer Ysabel Lorrimer.
