Overlord Name Generator

An overlord is a ruler defined by dominion rather than birthright: the warlord who conquered the valley, the undying sorcerer who sits above a hundred vassal kings, the iron administrator whose tax collectors are feared more than any army. That gives overlord names a slightly different job from ordinary villain names. They need to sound like something carved above a gate and sworn to in oaths, which is why the memorable ones (Sauron, Ainz Ooal Gown, the Lord Ruler, Shao Kahn) either hit hard consonants or wear a title like a crown.

This generator covers the four forms you will actually use. Bare names such as Vrakthar or Zhulkara work for the character the heroes confront face to face. Name-plus-epithet forms (Sazrek the Throne-Eater, Orzhena the Tower-Keeper) let the epithet carry a piece of history. Pure titles like The Grey Consul of Ruin or She Who Counts the Dead suit an overlord whose true name is forbidden. And styled forms (Overlord Kazmodan, Hegemon Ulxaris, Tsar Vladrek the Pitiless) borrow real-world ranks so the empire feels like it has a bureaucracy behind it.

Mixed in are orcish warlords, infernal potentates, undead sorcerer-kings in the isekai mould, and courtly tyrants with house names, so you can match the overlord to the empire you have built.
