Real secret societies used plain or oblique names, and fictional ones land best when they do the same: a single noun with an article (The Keyholders), a number (The Ninefold, the Council of Nine Lamps) or an object associated with hiding (the Shuttered Eye, the Closed Book). Save the grand Most Secret Order of the prefix for satire or for an order that wants to be found.
