Miqo'te Name Generator

Miqo'te names in Final Fantasy XIV follow two distinct systems depending on the clan. Seekers of the Sun use a tribe letter followed by an apostrophe and a given name: Y'shtola belongs to the Y (Yaha) tribe, G'raha to the G (Gah) tribe. There are 26 tribes, one for each letter, so any letter is valid. Seeker males add a suffix that marks their status: Tia for an ordinary male (G'raha Tia) and Nunh for a breeding male who leads the tribe (U'odh Nunh). Females carry no suffix, and the apostrophe marks a short glottal stop, so Y'shtola is spoken roughly as Yah-SHTOH-lah.

Keepers of the Moon are matriarchal and name themselves differently. A Keeper female uses a given name and her family name, which passes down the mother's line: Miah Molkot. Sons take the mother's given name plus a suffix that records birth order: 'a for the first son, 'to for the second, then 'li, 'sae, 'ra, 'ir, 'wo, 'ya, 'zi, and 'tan for the tenth. So Miah's first son is Miah'a Molkot and her second is Miah'to Molkot. Keeper given names favor breathy consonant clusters like Nh, Rh, Zh, and Kh.

The names here follow both systems, so you can pick a tribe letter and a Tia or Nunh suffix for a Seeker, or a family line and birth-order suffix for a Keeper.
