Real squads and fireteams are officially named by number and phonetic letter: 2nd Squad, 3rd Platoon, Bravo Company. Over the radio those become callsigns like Bravo Two, Hitman Two-One or Reaper Six, where a unit nickname stands in for the company and the numbers identify platoon and squad.
