Hadozee Name Generator

Hadozee are the winged, simian spacefarers of Dungeons & Dragons, reintroduced in Spelljammer: Adventures in Space for 5th edition. Descended from tree-dwelling primates uplifted by a wizard's experiments, they can glide on membranes stretched between their limbs, which makes them natural riggers, lookouts and boarding parties aboard spelljamming ships. Their culture is deeply nautical, and their names reflect it.

The game itself gives hadozee no fixed name list, so most players build names from two sources. The first is a short, rhythmic personal name with open vowels and soft consonants, in the spirit of Kalo, Tembe, Sefu or Wanjiru, which evokes the warm forest homeworld hadozee remember in their stories. The second is a deck-name earned through service: Rigwalker, Crowsnest, Halyard, Slipknot, Farglide. Older or well-travelled hadozee often drop the personal name entirely and go by a crew nickname like Old Bwana or One-Ear Tebo, or by their post, as with Bosun Tembo or Lookout Ife.

A strong hadozee name captures both halves of the character: where they came from and what they do above the deck. Pair a two-syllable given name with a compound sailor's epithet for a classic feel, or use a lone short name for a hadozee who has left the ship's life behind.
