Furbies come with their own language, and the most authentic Furby names are built from it. Furbish uses short open syllables joined with hyphens, and many of them mean something: Kah is me, U-Nye is you, May-May is love, Noo-Loo is happy, Way-Loh is sleep, Koh-Koh is again and Dah is yes or big. Not every Furby wants a Furbish name. Owners of vintage Furbies often reach for cute pet names (Gizmo, Pickles, Snickerdoodle), punny names built on the word itself (Furbert, Furbina, Sir Furbalot), or titles that suit a fluffy little dictator (Lady Fluffbottom, Count Fluffula). The long Furby community, which sews Furby faces onto elongated plush bodies, prefers deliberately plain human names like Gerald, Deborah and Bartholomew, or mildly menacing ones like Eldritch Beans and Void Child, because the contrast with the creature is the joke.

Mix and match: a Furbish-style name works as a first name and a pun or title as a surname, giving you Noo-Loo Furbington or May-May von Fluffenstein.
