Eagle names tend to come from four places. Real eagles are named by wildlife rehabilitators, nest-cam communities, falconers (mostly golden eagles, in the Kazakh and Mongolian berkutchi tradition) and schools with an eagle mascot, so the list mixes dignified names with friendly ones like Baldwin, Goldie and Swoop. Fantasy and game eagles can carry grander, invented names such as Aerondil or Stormcrest.

Whatever the setting, pick something you can call across a field in one or two syllables, and let the bird's species, color and temperament steer you toward gold, bronze, white or storm words.
