D&D Fairy Name Generator

The fairy became an official playable race in Dungeons & Dragons 5e with The Wild Beyond the Witchlight and Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse. Fairies are Small Fey from the Feywild who fly, cast Druidcraft and Faerie Fire innately, and come from a realm ruled by archfey courts. Wizards of the Coast did not publish a formal naming table for the race, so players borrow from three sources: the tiny whimsical names of pixies and sprites (Twill Thimbleseed, Nettie Cobwebspun), older fairy lore from Shakespeare and Celtic myth (Peaseblossom, Puck, Titania, Cliodhna, Finvarra), and the lilting Sylvan-flavoured names used for eladrin and other fey (Aurelith, Vesperine, Ilthuriel).

A useful pattern for a fairy PC is a short personal name that sounds like a plant, bird or small object (Sorrel, Wren, Bindle, Quill) followed by a compound surname made of two woodland words (Puddlejump, Mothwing, Glowmoss). Fey also love titles and true-name games, so a fairy might introduce themselves as the Lantern-Bearer of Prismeer or Sorrel Who Owes a Name and keep their birth name secret, a natural hook in a Feywild campaign where names carry bargaining power.

Pick a name that tells the table which court or corner of the Feywild your fairy calls home: frost and moon words for the Gloaming Court, blossoms and honey for the Summer Court.
