Cambion Name Generator

A cambion is the child of a demon and a mortal. The word comes from medieval demonology, where writers claimed such children were born of incubi and succubi; Merlin was said to be one, and Shakespeare's Caliban is the son of a witch and the devil Setebos. In Dungeons & Dragons the cambion is a fiend with a humanoid parent, distinct from the tiefling whose infernal blood is generations old. Modern fiction is full of them: Hellboy, Damien Thorn, Rin Okumura, Dante and Vergil Sparda, Raven from Teen Titans.

Because a cambion has one foot in each world, the best names do too. The classic pattern is a human given name attached to something that hints at the other parent: an ash, ember, or brimstone surname (Silas Belmoor, Delphine Sorel, Elara Brimstone), a Goetic demon's name used as a first name with a mundane surname (Asmodeus Hale, Sitri Navarre), or a wholly infernal name softened with familiar sounds (Ashael, Lucrezia, Draziel). Epithets like The Half-Born or The Sulfur Child work for cambions whose parentage is public and feared. Single virtue-and-vice names such as Wrath, Rue, or Fell mirror the tiefling tradition.
