Bot Name Generator

Bot names fall into a few recognisable camps, and the right one depends on how much personality the bot is supposed to have. Friendly helpers and chat companions suit short, soft names with a click or a pop in them (Pip, Widget, Bleep, Tink, Otto) because they are easy to type in a command and feel approachable. Utility bots that moderate servers, post reminders or file tickets often wear their job in the name: ModMate, GreetBot, Reminder Rita, Helpdesk Harry. Designations such as RX-42, Unit 734 or Omicron-12 signal something mass-produced and slightly cold, which is exactly right for a test rig, a trading bot or a sci-fi game NPC.

A second trick is borrowing from the vocabulary of computing itself: Kernel, Cache, Socket, Watchdog and Null Pointer all sound like bots without needing the word bot at all, and they land well with technical audiences. Puns (Botticelli, Al Gorithm, Syntax Terror, Count Datacula) work for community servers and Twitch chats where a bit of groan is part of the charm.

Whatever the style, keep it short enough to fit a mention or a slash command, check it reads clearly in lowercase, and give the bot a name you will not mind seeing a thousand times in a log.
