Avali Name Generator

Avali are a fictional alien species created by RyuujinZERO and introduced through the popular Avali race mod for Starbound. They are small, feathered, raptor-like beings from the frozen moon Avalon, with four ears, excellent hearing, advanced nanotech and a nomadic culture organised into small packs. They have since become a widely used species for furry OCs, fursonas and sci-fi roleplay.

Light and quick. Most Avali names in the community are one to three syllables, built from soft consonants (k, v, t, r, sh, z) and bright vowels (i, a, e, ae, ai): Kiri, Ahzi, Vael, Zari, Tevra, Ikaris. Long, heavy or guttural names sound wrong for a species that communicates in chirps and high tones.

Not in the human sense. Avali are usually known by a single given name inside their pack. When a second name is needed, most players add a pack name, so a two-part name like Kiri Vaeska reads as 'Kiri of the Vaeska pack'. This generator includes given-name-plus-pack-name pairs in the same phonology for exactly that use.

Yes. Every name here is original, so you can use any of them for a Starbound character, an Avali OC, a fursona, a roleplay pack or artwork without stepping on a known community character. The Avali species itself belongs to its creator, so check the species' usage guidelines if you plan anything commercial.
