Yordle Name Generator

Yordles are the small, furry spirit-folk of Bandle City in League of Legends and the wider Runeterra lore, and Riot has given them a very consistent naming sound. Look at the roster: Teemo, Tristana, Poppy, Lulu, Veigar, Ziggs, Heimerdinger, Rumble, Corki, Kennen, Gnar, Kled, Fizz, Vex and Norra. Almost every name is one or two syllables, starts with a crisp consonant, and loves doubled letters (Ziggs, Poppy, Fizz) or a bouncing open vowel at the end (Teemo, Corki, Lulu). They sound like toys or small noises, which is exactly the point.

There are a few sub-styles worth knowing. Bandle scouts and gunners get chirpy nicknames (Teemo, Tristana, Corki); tinkerers and inventors get longer comic-Germanic names (Heimerdinger, or a fan-made Wumbleblatt); yordles who have left Bandle City for darker places tend to sound harsher and older, like Veigar, Kled or Vex. Surnames are rare in canon, so most of the names here are single words, with a handful of full names and military ranks for squad characters.

A good yordle name should be easy to shout across a lane and impossible to say without smiling. If you can picture it on a tiny helmet, it will work.
