Warrior Cats Kittypet Name Generator

In the Warriors books, a kittypet is a cat that lives with Twolegs (humans), and its name comes from them rather than from a Clan ceremony. That is why the most important cat in the series started life as Rusty, and why his kittypet friends were called Smudge and Princess. Kittypet names are deliberately ordinary: colours (Ginger, Smokey), markings (Socks, Patches, Boots), food (Biscuit, Marmalade), or common human pet names (Charlie, Bella, Oscar). Loners and rogues who never lived in a house use similar single-word names, such as Barley, Purdy, Sol, and Scourge, but usually with a rougher or more descriptive edge.

A good kittypet name does two jobs. It sounds like something a Twoleg would actually call a cat, and it contrasts sharply with the Clan name the character might earn later. Erin Hunter uses that contrast for character arcs: Rusty becomes Firepaw, Millie keeps her name and struggles to fit in, Daisy is accepted without ever taking a Clan name. Choosing an especially cutesy name (Fluffy, Cupcake, Pom-Pom) makes the transition to Clan life funnier and more meaningful.

The names here mix canon kittypets and loners with the kind of ordinary house-cat names that fit the series' setting, whether the character is a lifelong kittypet, a rogue at the edge of Twolegplace, or a future warrior who has not been found yet.
