A good metal album name does three jobs. It fits the logo and cover art, usually in one to five words. It survives being shouted from a stage or typed into a search bar. And it gives the record an identity the band name alone does not, which is why so many classics use a definite image (a crown, a gate, a pyre, a wolf) instead of an abstract mood. Concrete nouns from ruin, war and scripture carry more than adjectives like dark or brutal.
