A Travolta name, or Travoltified name, is any name garbled in that specific way: roughly the same syllable count and rhythm, a few consonants swapped, vowels drifted, and the whole thing delivered as if it were obviously correct.

The formula has rules of its own. Keep the first letter of each name if you can (Idina to Adele is the exception that made it famous). Preserve the shape of the name so it is still recognizable, then bend it: Brad Pitt becomes Bram Peet, Tom Hanks becomes Tam Hunk, Benedict Cumberbatch becomes Benadryl Cucumberpatch. The best ones sound like a real name from a parallel universe rather than random letters.
