Irken Name Generator

Irkens are the green, antennaed conquerors of Jhonen Vasquez's Invader Zim, and their names follow a very recognisable pattern. Almost every canon Irken has a blunt one-syllable name that sounds like a noise or a blurt: Zim, Tak, Larb, Tenn, Zee, Krunk, Skutch, Gooch, Poot, Nah, Chin. The rest are ordinary and slightly gross English words played straight, such as Spleen, Stink, Slacks, Lardo, Spork and Pesto, or comedy stretches like Sneakyonfoota and Sploodge. The Almighty Tallest are simply Red and Purple, and earlier leaders were Miyuki and Spork. Rank comes first as a title: Invader Skoodge, Tallest Red, Frylord Sizz-Lorr, Elite soldiers and service drones, while newly hatched Irkens are smeets. SIR units (GIR, MiMi) follow their own three-letter robot pattern.

A good original Irken name therefore stays short and sharp, leans on plosives and buzzy clusters (sk-, spl-, kr-, -ork, -eeb, -uzz), and is funnier the less dignified it sounds. Two-part names joined with a hyphen (Sizz-Lorr) work for older or higher-ranked Irkens, and an epithet or homeworld (Tak of Devastis, Krell the Exiled) helps a fan character feel like they belong in the Empire's bureaucracy.

The list mixes the canon cast with original names in the same register, plus ranks, planets and SIR units, so you can name an entire invasion force or a single defective Irken.
