Galra Name Generator

Galra names in Voltron: Legendary Defender follow a tight sound pattern that makes them instantly recognisable. Most are one or two syllables, open with a hard consonant or cluster (Z, K, Th, Dr, Vr, Gn), and close on a blunt stop or hiss: Zarkon, Sendak, Haxus, Prorok, Throk, Trugg, Gnov. The vowels are dark and short, usually a, o and u, and you almost never see soft endings like -ia or -el on a full-blooded soldier of the empire.

The Blade of Marmora uses the same phonology but leans slightly smoother, which is why Kolivan, Ulaz, Thace, Antok and Regris feel like cousins of the imperial names rather than copies. Half-Galra and female characters stretch the rules further: Krolia, Acxa, Zethrid and Ezor keep the hard consonants but add an open ending that hints at another bloodline. That is the register to use for an OC who grew up outside the empire.

Rank matters more than family in Galra culture, so names rarely come with surnames. Instead, a character is Commander Ladnok or Warlord Ranveig, and the title shifts as they rise or fall. This list mixes canon names with hundreds of original ones in both imperial and Marmora styles.
