Female Zombie Name Generator

A female zombie's name usually comes from one of four places. Survivors nickname the walkers they keep running into by what is left of them or what they wear: Crawler Kate, Half-Jaw Hattie, The Bride, Pigtails, Scrubs. That shorthand is blunt and a little cruel, which is exactly why it sounds real. Games name infected types by behaviour, and the female types are some of the most memorable, from Left 4 Dead's Witch and Spitter to The Last of Us's Clickers and Stalkers. Comedy zombies get puns built on women's names: Rigor Mortisha, Anita Graves, Dee Ceased, Sue Ture, Eileen Dover. And the saddest option is the ordinary name she died with, Edith Gravely on a hospital bracelet or Zoe Deadman on a work badge.

Gothic full names do a different job. Pairing a soft, old-fashioned first name with a graveyard surname (Lilith Graves, Prudence Ashgrove, Lenore Blackmould) gives you a zombie who reads as a character rather than a threat, which is what you want for a revenant heroine, a Monster High-style ghoul, or a zombie bride costume.
