The second family is real given names that mean sun, light, or dawn, and these are what most parents and character writers actually want: Eliana and Elio (Greek helios), Solveig and Sunniva (Norse), Ravi, Aditya, Kiran, and Bhanu (Sanskrit), Cyrus and Khurshid (Persian), Shams and Ziya (Arabic), Zohar and Ora (Hebrew), Haru, Hinata, and Asahi (Japanese), Kalinda (Aboriginal Australian), Zora and Zorya (Slavic dawn), and the Latin Aurelia, Lucia, and Sol.

Beyond those, sun-flavored word names (Marigold, Zenith, Sunniva, Apricity, which is the warmth of the sun in winter) and epithets like the Unconquered Sun or the Dawnbringer serve fantasy sun priests, paladins, celestial characters, and brands that want warmth without a literal god's name.
