Steam Name Generator

Steam has two names, and they follow different rules. The account name is the login you type once and can never change, so it should be boring, private and unique. The profile name (the 'persona name') is what friends, lobbies and Counter-Strike scoreboards actually see, and you can change it whenever you like, with up to 32 characters, spaces and most Unicode symbols allowed. This generator is built for the profile name, though the short one-word results also work as an account name if they are free.

A good Steam name reads clearly at small size in a friends list and still sounds right when a teammate says it on voice chat. The styles that age well are a single invented word (Vexlan, Quillhart), a two-word compound with a slight edge (Hollow Ping, Rusty Crowbar), a pun on gaming habits (Backlog Baron, Refund Window), or a dry phrase that works as a joke in a kill feed ('killed by Your Dad'). Names stuffed with numbers, xX wrappers and zalgo text tend to read as 2009 rather than cool.

Because profile names are not unique on Steam, you can take any name here immediately; only the account name and the custom URL need to be unused. Pick one that matches the games you mostly play and keep the same name across Discord so people recognize you.
