Salamanders 40k Name Generator

Salamanders names draw on three sources that Games Workshop and Black Library authors have kept consistent since the Chapter's earliest fiction. The first is Nocturne itself: the death world's tribal birth names are short, often two syllables, and frequently split by an apostrophe, giving Dak'ir, Tsu'gan, Ba'ken, N'keln, Tu'Shan and Vulkan He'stan. The second is the Promethean cult and the Chapter's Imperial heritage, which supplies Latin and Greek forms such as Artellus Numeon, Pyriel, Elysius, Atanarius and Cassian Dracos. The third is the Chapter's visual identity: ebon skin and burning eyes are paired with names of African origin like Adrax Agatone, Abidemi and K'gosi.

Structure is loose. Many battle-brothers go by a single name; those with two usually carry a Nocturnean birth name plus a second name or earned epithet (Hazon Dak'ir, Bray'arth Ashmantle, Ur'zan Drakgaard). Epithets lean on fire, forge and drake imagery because Salamanders are smiths first and warriors second, and rank titles such as Forgefather, Firedrake, Pyroclast and Master of the Forge are unique to or strongly associated with the Chapter.

The list below mixes canon characters with new names built on the same three patterns, so a homebrew Firedrake squad or a successor Chapter roster reads as though it came from the same Sanctuary Cities as Tu'Shan and Agatone.
