Kul Tiran Name Generator

Kul Tiras is World of Warcraft's island nation of sailors, tidesages and hard-drinking harbour folk, and its people are named to match. Kul Tiran given names are plain, sturdy English and Celtic-flavoured names: Jaina, Katherine, Daelin, Tandred, Derek, Flynn, Cyrus, Taelia, Priscilla, Lucille, Arthur, Harlan, Thomas. Nothing exotic, nothing fantasy-flowery. Where the flavour comes in is the surname, which is nearly always maritime, weather-worn or drawn from the land: Proudmoore, Ashvane, Waycrest, Stormsong, Fairwind, Crestfall, Zelling, Sweete, Fordragon.

Each region of Kul Tiras adds its own accent. Tiragarde Sound and Boralus are the naval heart, so names lean toward ranks and ship-craft (Admiral, Bosun, Harbormaster, Sailmaker). Drustvar in the west has a gothic, witch-haunted feel, with families like Waycrest and Ashvane and grim old surnames such as Gallowbrook and Hollowmere. Stormsong Valley belongs to the tidesages, whose Sea Priests and Brothers and Sisters take the sea itself as a title. Great houses (Proudmoore, Ashvane, Waycrest, Stormsong) matter enormously, and Kul Tirans often introduce themselves with house and rank attached.
