Because green dragons love to pull strings from the shadows, many keep a smooth humanoid alias, such as Lady Vera Thistlewood or Magister Cyprian Vale, that lets them sit on councils and buy loyalties.

Color and plant vocabulary gives a second layer to draw on. Gemstone names like Malachite, Peridot, and Verdigris work as short common names, while toxic plants such as Hemlock, Nightshade, and Foxglove make excellent names for younger greens or for a dragon's forest fortress.
