Genshin Impact names are region-coded, and a convincing OC name starts by matching the nation. Mondstadt uses German and broadly European names (Diluc, Jean, Kaeya, Albedo, Eula, Klee, Rosaria), with a few Latin alchemical touches. Liyue characters carry two-syllable Chinese pinyin names (Zhongli, Xingqiu, Ganyu, Keqing, Xiangling), sometimes with a family name attached like Hu Tao or Yun Jin. Inazuma follows Japanese conventions with the clan name first for nobility (Kamisato Ayaka, Kujou Sara, Arataki Itto) and given names alone for commoners.

Sumeru blends Persian, Arabic and Indian names (Nilou, Cyno, Kaveh, Dehya, Nahida, Alhaitham), Fontaine is French through and through (Neuvillette, Furina, Lyney, Chevreuse, Clorinde), Natlan draws on Nahuatl, Quechua, Hawaiian and African names (Kachina, Xilonen, Citlali, Mualani, Kinich), and Snezhnaya, home of the Fatui, is Russian and Italian in flavour (Childe as Tartaglia, Columbina, Pantalone, Arlecchino, all Commedia dell'arte masks). Archons and adepti stand apart with mythological or Latin names like Barbatos, Morax, Zhongli's guises and Xiao.

The list below is grouped by nation in that order and made almost entirely of names not yet used in the game, so your Vision holder, Fatui Harbinger, adeptus or Akademiya scholar fits Teyvat without colliding with a canon character.
