Fictional Material Name Generator

The right pick depends on who is doing the naming in your story. A prospector or a guild of smiths would use a plain descriptive name (Pale Iron, Bloodglass); a corporate lab would trademark something clipped and synthetic (Duranex, Ultradur, Synthweave); scholars and xenogeologists would lean on Greek and Latin roots (Tenebrium, Pellucite, Chronite). A material that is feared or sacred tends to get a poetic name instead, like Sorrowstone or Ossified Starlight. Mixing those registers across one setting makes a crafting list feel like it came from a living culture rather than a spreadsheet.
