Dark Urge Name Generator

The Dark Urge is the origin in Baldur's Gate 3 with no fixed name. You wake on the nautiloid as a Bhaalspawn with no memory, a butler named Sceleritas Fel, a sister called Orin the Red and a temple under the city that once called you its Chosen, and the character sheet simply reads Durge until you type something better. A good Dark Urge name has to do two jobs: sound like it belongs on the Sword Coast, and carry a faint chill that pays off when the urges start.

The default Durge is a white dragonborn, so the list opens with Draconic-style names built from hard consonant clusters and long clan names (Vraxith Kaldrethan, Szorath Ormenkir), the same pattern the Player's Handbook uses for clan-first dragonborn. Because most players remake the character, there are also Baldurian human names with patrician surnames that hint at old blood (Vesryn Mortlake, Isolde Graveney), Infernal and virtue names for tieflings, great-house names for drow, and lyrical elf names shaded toward night and sorrow.

The epithets near the start (the Unholy Assassin, Bhaal's Chosen) are the titles the Temple of Bhaal uses for you in-game; the rest are original. Mix a plain given name with an ominous surname if you want the menace to stay subtle until Act 2.
