Comic Book Company Name Generator

Comic publishers have a house style for names that has barely changed since the 1930s: a short, concrete noun or image followed by Comics, Press, Studios or Publishing. The noun does the work. Animals and birds (a wolf, a magpie, a fox), sky and space (a comet, a moonshot, a supernova), tools and trades (an anvil, a crowbar, a letterpress) and printing terms themselves (gutter, bleed, halftone, splash page, ashcan) all sound like real imprints because real imprints use them. Two-word combos with an ampersand, like Cinder & Quill or Rook & Raven, signal a boutique literary press; a single blunt word plus Comics signals superheroes and action.

The suffix also positions you. Comics says mainstream floppies, Press suggests graphic novels and bookstores, Studios fits a creator-owned shop or webcomic collective, and Publishing reads as a broader house that might do prose too. Many small presses skip the suffix entirely and trade on a strong logo, so several entries here work as a bare name.
